PaperPing is a do-it-yourself Android app that turns a photo of paper mail into a local reminder. It does not file anything, pay bills, or give legal or financial advice.

What the app stores

PaperPing is offline-first. It does not create accounts and does not operate a PaperPing server.

• Recognized text, a date, and an optional amount that you confirm
• A local reminder scheduled on this device (Android notifications / alarm)
• The last saved notice in app preferences

Photos are read on the device. The app does not upload document images to a PaperPing server in the supplied build.

What we do not collect

The supplied build does not include advertising, analytics, crash reporters, login, or Android internet permission. We do not sell personal information.

On-device text recognition

Document photos are read on the device with a bundled Google ML Kit Latin text-recognition model.

Changes

We will update this page if a later version adds accounts, a server, or any data that leaves the device without you sharing it.
